Privacy Policy

Tap Countdown is an iPhone app published by Wataru Watanabe (w22 digital lab). This policy covers the app, its widgets, this website, and support by email. Contact: hello@w22.dev.
The app does not collect your data. Your countdowns stay on your iPhone. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours to send anything to. The website and email support are separate and are described below.
1. What the app stores, and where
Tap Countdown stores what you enter and do in the app: each countdown’s title, note, starting number, remaining number, and color, plus the date and time of each tap so the calendar and stats can show your history. It also stores small preferences, such as whether sounds are on and which tab you last used.
All of this is stored locally on your iPhone, in storage that only Tap Countdown and its own widgets can read. The app does not upload it to us or to anyone else, and it makes no network requests of its own. We cannot see or access your countdowns.
2. Widgets
The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read the same on-device data to show a countdown, and the widget’s button records a tap on your iPhone. Lock Screen widgets can be visible while your iPhone is locked, so choose countdowns you’re comfortable showing there.
3. Deleting your data and backups
You can delete individual countdowns in the app. Deleting a countdown also deletes its tap history. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, Apple’s backup includes the app’s data under your backup settings and Apple’s privacy policy. We have no access to those backups.
4. Apple, the App Store, and TestFlight
Apple distributes the app and handles downloads and updates through the App Store. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide crash reports and similar diagnostic information to us. This is controlled by Apple and your settings, not by the app.
If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple shares information with us as described in Apple’s TestFlight privacy notice. This can include your name and email address if you were invited by email, installs and sessions, crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send.
5. This website
This website is hosted on Vercel. Visiting a page sends connection and request information to the host, which may process or log your IP address, the requested URL, request time, browser or user-agent information, and related technical metadata to deliver the site, keep it reliable, and prevent abuse. See Vercel’s privacy notice.
The homepage uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits. Its page-view data can include page URLs, referrers, timestamps, approximate location, and browser, operating-system, and device information. Vercel describes Web Analytics as cookie-free and says it discards its visitor-session identifier after 24 hours; see Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation. This privacy page and the support page do not include the analytics script. The site sets no advertising cookies.
6. Email
If you email us, for example to ask about the app or to be told when it launches, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you send. We use them to reply, to send the launch note you asked for, and to improve the app. We don’t sell them or use them for advertising. Send only what’s needed; please don’t include sensitive personal information.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete email correspondence you’ve sent by writing to hello@w22.dev. Your rights depend on where you live, and some records may need to be kept by law. Information held by Apple or Vercel is managed under their own policies. We cannot delete data stored on your iPhone or in your own backups; you control that.
8. Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
9. Changes and contact
If these practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Questions: hello@w22.dev.
